A Tribal Inspired Pattern

This morning a carved several linocut stamps to use to create a pattern. I was inspired by the boldness of many tribal patterns, their geometric motifs, and block printing.

I didn't have any great plan or concept, just freehand carving based on whatever came to mind. Once the stamps were cut and printed, the images were scanned. In Photoshop, brushes were made for each stamp and the pattern created. For fun, I created a journal and mug mock up using the psttern.

I have more carved stamps, so it is off to design another pattern!
